First, the single best reason for not being Amazon Associate: Amazon and its products are not 'fit' with your blog or website. If you feel like it, no problem. There is a host of affiliate programs available, so you will surely be able to find one that fits well with the content of blogs or websites of Amazon.
However, Amazon Associates program is worth considering for most bloggers. I use it on some of my blogs, and it has provided me with a reliable revenue stream so far - not my biggest, but definitely more than 'pennies and dimes' that some say it has the potential to earn.
Below are some of the best reasons to become Associate Amazon:
1. Amazon is a brand widely recognized and trusted - Amazon are on the list of online stores that make purchases from people ans one of the most popular shopping destinations in the world. Amazon readers know, are familiar with it ans many are already customers - they believe and do not spend significant money there.
2. Commission - Some may not be satisfied with a 4% commission. They are right in some respects, to 4% is not a lot when you are selling a $ 10 book or DVD - but when you're selling a $ 2000 camera or lawn tractor $ 3500 (I know a guy who was not good enough of a ride on mowers and tractors) it must grow. But not only that, the rate is 4% of their basic rates for common products. Unfortunately it is as high as it happens in consumer electronics - but on most other products where there is a sliding scale depending on the number of items you sell your referral fee will rise to 8.50%. Sold more than 6 items in a month and your commission up to 6% - sold more than 630 and you are up to 8% .. See for yourself:

3. People tend to buy more than one item - the great thing about Amazon is that you not only get a commission on the products you directly, but on whatever they buy once they are on Amazon. Sales of other products that make people so they get to the Amazon is most of the time much larger than the actual product sales you link to - and you will get a commission on every one of them. You will be surprised by the passive income. You get a commission on anything that someone bought within a few hours of your sending them to Amazon (if they do not leave the store site).
4. It is easy to integrate - There are more and more plugins and tools that offer Amazon Affiliate integration built to help you put a link in your blog posts with the greatest of ease. Ecto for Mac has a tool that lets you search for products and connect them with just a few clicks. Wordpress has some nice plugins as well. An affiliate link is usually just a few seconds to integrate.
5. Payment options Mulktiple - Amazon offers a number of payment options to its affiliates. One of the things I really like is that they give you the option to be paid in the product, rather than cash. They also send a check or deposit the cost of the move directly into your bank account.Your Ad Here
6. Small payments that add - In the early days of making money from blogs most bloggers do not have the luxury of picking and choosing their revenue stream as much as they (hopefully) do in the future. They need to make money somewhere and even a small amount of the Amazon Associates Program to bring at the start is better than nothing at all. Over time these payments will start adding certain. In the early days you probably will not earn enough to make the minimum payment each month and will have to wait several months before being paid - but they will first pay outs will apply celebrated milestones.
7. It is an investment which matures over time - This is a good approach to treating Amazon Associates Program bit like a savings account or a long-term investment that you put a little into each week and due on income from time to time. What does this mean? I added a link to Amazon from time to time and find that by doing so I continue to make the door more and more into the online store Amazon. With every link I added my increase the chances someone to send Amazon and look back on that visit.
8. The holidays are a time to pay - Although you will make money as an Amazon Associate year in, year out it should be noted that the general run of things in the lead up to Christmas and the holiday season. Over the years I have seen a significant jump in revenue in December, Amazon (as much as 150%). The key to achieving this is to plan ahead (make sure your links are all up to date a few months earlier) and run some specific posts in the lead up to Christmas rush Holiday (start preparing as early as September / October).
9. Various products - What attracted me to use Amazon Associate program in the first place is a wide range of products they have on offer. It is a great thing if you are a narrow niche or pretty obvious, as many bloggers have trouble finding affiliate programs to match the focus of their blogs. Some of the widely read blog has a variety of options for affiliate programs (that's why you generally will not find many links to Amazon on them), but many bloggers simply do not have the luxury of being able to choose high paying affiliate programs because they are not related to the topic of their blog. In this case Amazon to be one of the most attractive option.
10. Amazon is an easy way into the world of affiliate program - If you are not sure about the affiliate programs and just want to try one out, then the Amazon Associate program is a good starting point. They provide you with everything you need to get started, they offer guidance and help and, most importantly, is a reliable partner. I started with Amazon - and I'm glad I did, because it was the first positive experience prompted me to look for another affiliate program and helped me a lot on the way to become a professional blogger.
So is the Amazon Associate Program for You?
You have to answer that question for yourself - I'm not going to pretend that it works brilliantly on every blog, but I know quite a few bloggers who make a significant income from this program. Blog with a strong focus on products tend to do quite well through the Amazon link to the program if well integrated into the post (see some of my other posts for tips). Moderation in the use of this program is recommended - do not put them in every post you write unless they are relevant. Link placed in reviews really help clearly better than links and banners on the sidebar.
